About PayYako
Salary transparency starts with trustworthy data.
PayYako is an independent platform that collects, moderates, and publishes anonymous salary benchmarks for Zimbabwe. We exist because workers deserve market evidence when negotiating pay, and employers deserve local data when setting salary bands.
Our mission
Make pay in Zimbabwe visible, verifiable, and fair.
Information asymmetry in compensation hurts everyone — workers under-negotiate, employers overshoot or undershoot, and the market operates on rumour instead of evidence. PayYako closes that gap with moderated, anonymous data anyone can access.
What we believe
Privacy by design
We never ask for names, employers, or email addresses. Individual submissions are invisible — only aggregate benchmarks reach the public.
Evidence over opinion
Every published figure passes moderation, normalization, and a minimum-sample threshold. We report ranges, not single-point estimates.
Built for Zimbabwe
Currency conversion, local role taxonomies, city-level breakdowns, and support for both USD and ZiG reflect how people actually earn here.
Community-powered
Every benchmark starts with an anonymous contributor. The more people participate, the sharper the market signal becomes for everyone.
How it works
Contribute anonymously
Share your role, experience, location, and gross monthly pay. No sign-up, no names, no employer details.
We moderate & normalize
Submissions are matched to a role taxonomy, converted to a standard currency, and reviewed by moderation rules before approval.
Everyone benefits
Once a group reaches the publication threshold, its median, range, and sample size go live for workers and employers alike.
